bespoke hand-crafted design for Original Interiors

Lucina Lennon

Lucina Lennon is an Interior Architect, and it was while she was working in Chicago, that she was introduced to specialist decorative painting techniques at the Chicago Art Institute. On her return to Ireland, wishing to bring these techniques to interior walls, she launched ‘The Paintmaker’s House’ and describes it as an ‘art atelier for interiors’.

‘I’ve always been a little torn between art and architecture, and the chance to specialise in bespoke wall coverings gave me the opportunity to do both in tandem’

The signature aesthetic of hand-drawn design, hand-printed pattern and hand-mixed colour provides the perfect antidote to mass produced interior finishes. Each design begins as a hand-painted original and as the design develops, it is uniquely customised for each interior - the finished original becoming a unique statement piece that has a direct connection with the client.

Our Design Process…

Each Design begins with a hand-painted original. Drawing on traditional techniques such as screen-printing and etching, a blueprint is created which is then customised for an interior space - taking openings, windows and architectural features into account. The colour way is hand-mixed, so a bespoke colour palette is created for each project. The finished original takes the form of either a hand-gilded Verre Églomisé statement panel or a bespoke wall covering which transforms interior walls into large-scale artworks.
